Facilities Maintenance Engineer - Dayshift

We are now recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer. Supporting the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will be actively involved in assisting in the smooth and efficient running of the facilities department, providing a complete service to the facility covering all aspects of maintenance and repair of plant and building services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical leadership and advice to engineers and technicians
  • Establish TPM for all production equipment – monitoring for effectiveness, relevance, recommending and implementing change
  • Instigate; drive improvements and modification activity as determined by maintenance schedules
  • Support Production efforts by analysing complex engineering problems aiming to identify and rectify root causes offering solutions
  • Ensure all equipment engineering practices and procedures are carried out in accordance with current health & safety legislation
  • Liaise with main equipment suppliers about technical servicing issues as required including purchase specification
  • Ensure adequate availability of equipment spares for all manufacturing equipment
  • Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team and in cross training functions


Qualifications / Experience & Skills:

  • Educated to HND or equivalent within an electrical or electronic discipline
  • Previous experience working in a wafer fabrication environment
  • Excellent trouble shooting abilities and able to work on your own or in a team

The ideal candidate will have excellent fault finding skills, be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work with excellent communication skills.  Be proactive and capable of working without direct supervision and enjoy the challenge of working to deadlines to achieve defined targets within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
